Why do you think that stereotypes are so widely known by so many in our society?

I think that stereotypes are so widely known in our society mainly because of the media. In all T.V shows, stereotypes seem to be focused on, along with movies and music too. I also believe stereotyping happens subconsciously as well as consciously. It's just how we determine how people will turn out, whether we're right or wrong. I feel like this is used so much in media because it's something most people can relate to whether they mean it or not. Advertising it through movies and T.V does exploit it though and cause it more in our society. Stereotyping is just something everyone knows and does subconsciously because of watching it in shows.
